About Us

Our Core Values

Same Message, Said New

We are here to tell an old story in a new way. “I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.” (1 Cor 9:22)

Encourage and Equip

We connect here to encourage and equip one another for our mission. “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. (I Thes. 5:11)

Ready Golf

We need always be ready to share the message of The Gospel. “Be ready always to give an answer for the hope within you.” (I Peter 3:15

Before It's Too Late

We have a sense of urgency  to tell the world before it's too late. “What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanish.” (James 4:14-17)

Compelled

Why do we share? Because we are compelled to do so. “The love of Christ compels us.” (2 Cor. 5:14)

Question & Answer

Q. Who are we?

A. A band of brothers and sisters in Christ who believe the rich-poor, the common person and the poor-poor are all entitled to a Second Chance. In fact: we believe everyone deserves a Second Chance in life.

Q. What do you mean by “Same message, said new?”

A. The message of the Mulligan Club is simply, “Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” (I Cor.2:1) The two words Mulligan Club are new words to describe a small part of the Kingdom of God. To join the Mulligan Club, as with the Kingdom of God, one needs to see him or herself in need of the ultimate Mulligan of life: the Gospel of Grace presented in Jesus Christ.

Mulligan Club members take seriously both the Great Commandment and Great Commission of Jesus Christ. We love God and commit ourselves to obeying His commandments. We do not seek to “make Christians” out of non-believers or members of other religions. However, we are unapologetic in our desire to see friends and neighbors become true followers of Jesus Christ.

Q. What is our raison d’ètre?  When there are so many organizations in the world why do we need a Mulligan Club?

A. To the second part of the question we answer, the Mulligan Club is not merely another organization. It is a membership-based association linked together by the greatest message ever heard and by principles strong enough to change a life, a community or a nation.

So why do we exist? We exist to equip our members with a framework of thinking, a lifestyle, and with principles and tools that we believe will make them effective ambassadors of Jesus Christ. We encourage our members to support other ministries in the world of golf and with churches. We encourage our members be involved with a ministry to the poor.

Q. What do we do?

A. The Mulligan Club was born in the world of golf. One of the core values is “ready golf.” In golf, to be ready, means to have your club-in-hand and be prepared to play. Ready golf equates with prompt action. The work of the Mulligan Club is to prepare its members to be ready to “share the hope that is within them.” (I Peter 3:15) in a manner that attracts and doesn’t distract others from Jesus Christ.

One of our Core Values reflected in what we do stems from our desire to “encourage and equip.” We encourage members to host a one day Leader’s Training  to help other members and friends become more effective in helping their friends find a second chance in life.

We also hold the International Payne Stuart Cup every two years in which all of the Mulligan Club members are invited and asked to bring a friend who is looking for a Second Chance in life. We also hold regional tournaments in conjunction with Links Players Fellowship and other church fellowship groups.

These are some things the Mulligan Club does not do. It does not organize fellowships and Bible studies at golf clubs or with churches although most of our members do and we strongly endorse them to be a part of a small golfers discipleship group. We also encourage our members to support the Links Players.

Q. Are you membership based? If so, how do you join? Membership is free and available to golfers around the world who are seeking or have accepted God's Mulligan for eternal life and for living in a personal relationship with God daily. We do have a special core group that is set up such as the Council of the second chance.

A. Why do you use the word compelling to describe a Core Value?

We say “compelling” because we have experienced what we call “God’s Ultimate Mulligan,” a Second Chance, forgiveness from sin and guilt through the Blood of Jesus Christ. We see the world like sheep, lost with the Shepherd they are made to follow. Thus, we are compelled to broadcast this message to the world. We believe everyone in the world deserves a second chance.

Q. Why “before it is too late?”

A. Mulligan Club members believe there will be a final day of reckoning. The Bible states: “We shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ” (Romans 14:10)  Our members believe life is “but a mist” (James 4:14) and “we do not know what a day will bring forth” (Proverbs 27:1)

We commit ourselves to living life with a sense of urgency, numbering our days and sharing with loved ones the message of Grace in Jesus Christ, and the opportunity of the Second Chance, Before it’s too late.
